Southeastern Electric Cooperative performing repairs to Lane substation due to copper theft.

DURANT, OK - Southeastern Electric Cooperative will perform necessary repairs to the Lane substation due to copper theft.

Southeastern Electric has a planned outage scheduled for the Lane Substation Thursday afternoon, January 24th at 1:15 p.m. The substation will be taken offline for approximately an hour and a half. This urgent maintenance is due to a large amount of damage sustained from a copper theft that took place at the substation within the past 24 hours.

Approximately 2,100 Southeastern Electric consumers/members will be affected by this outage; to include areas in and around Harmony, Bentley, Crystal, Lane, Atoka, Stringtown, Tushka, East and Northeast of Coleman. SEC requests anyone hearing this announcement share it with friends and neighbors.
