Springer homicide under investigation

Authorities say a local man was found dead in Springer, Oklahoma this afternoon, and that they're investigating his death as a homicide.

Carter County Sheriff Ken Grace said Jeremy Kildow was found dead in a field off Highway 53 and Butler St. around 3:30.

He says it appears Kildow was stabbed to death.

Grace said they are currently interviewing people of interest, and that the investigation started with a call.

"We responded out there and we did find a white male who appeared to be DOA at the scene," said Sheriff Grace.

Kildow had recently turned 27.
