SHERMAN, TEXAS -- For those of you heading to the Sherman Walmart, or just driving across the Travis Street bridge, get ready to hit the brakes.
New stop signs are going up this week on both sides of the Travis Street bridge.
These stop signs are a precursor for the new signal lights that will be up in about two weeks.
David Selman with TXDOT says the stop signs should prepare drivers for the signal and slow down traffic at the 82/Frontage Road and Travis intersection.
Selman says construction at the bridge should be finished by November 15th.
