ADA, OK -- Two police chases in less than twenty four hours in Ada this weekend and all of the suspects were in court Monday.

Sheriff's deputies say they tried to stop driver Christopher Born and passenger, Matthew Harjo, overnight Friday for an expired tag, but born led them on a high speed police chase down a county road.

The pursuit stopped when the vehicle hit a tree and burst into flames knocking out power to nearly 700 households.

Less than a day later, OHP pursued Gary Underwood for a seat belt violation.

Troopers say he led them on a high speed chase through two counties ending in an Ada neighborhood.

All three of the men are currently booked in the Pontotoc County Jail.
