SHERMAN, TX -- Four new 18-passenger buses rolled into TAPS Public Transit in Sherman Friday.
The new buses are being added to those already in route.
TAPS says there's a growing demand in Texoma for newer models that are wheelchair-accessible.
TAPS brought in the new vehicles to keep rides as enjoyable as possible and to continue to put more service vehicles on the streets.
These new buses come just in time as summer heat is right around the corner.
Regional Sales Manager for National Bus Sales Brent Roy said, "One of the big problems we have in North Texas is air conditioning. It's so sweltering hot here so we've got a 90,000 BTU air conditioning system that's roof mounted. It blows 360 degrees and it really keeps the bus cool."
TAPS will receive a final delivery of four more buses.
