TEXOMA - The Texoma council of governments is getting nationwide recognition.

TCOG's "211 Texoma information and referral program" is part of a select group of organizations to receive national accreditation.

Community members can call 211 for information and referrals to agencies that deal with domestic violence support, legal aid, family counseling and energy assistance, among other things.

TCOG executive director, Dr. Susan Thomas, says staff receive training and evaluations that exceed state requirements.

Tcog serves Grayson, Fannin and Cooke counties.
