TCOG receives national grant for community service

TEXOMA - The Texoma Council of Governments RSVP Senior Corps has been awarded a grant from the corporation for national community service.

TCOG is one of 205 organizations in 35 states to receive the $57,000 grant.

Last year 681 RSVP members contributed more than 128,000 hours of volunteer service to 77 Texoma area nonprofit organizations.

TCOG says the grant will help better utilize the experience and talents of local volunteers.
