DENISON, TX -- Area hospitals are thanking EMS workers during Emergency Medical Services Appreciation week.
Today, TMC hosted a lunch to show how much they appreciate their medics. Who came from all over Grayson County, including Sherman, Denison, and Preston Volunteer Fire Department.
"It's just the way for the community, especially the hospitals to show their appreciation for all that EMS does. They have a very hard job going into the community, whether it be dealing with a car accident on the side of a busy highway," said Mark Nischwitz, Director of Emergency Services.
This week is recognized nationwide.
