TMC names new CEO

DENISON , TX - Texoma Medical Center (TMC) announced Wednesday that Ron Seal will be the new Chief Executive Officer of the hospital. Seal will begin his tenure at TMC effective November 1, 2010. Current CEO W. Mackey Watkins, MD, will remain at the hospital in November to facilitate the transition.

Most recently, Seal served as CEO of Wesley Health System in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He served in this capacity for seven years during which time the facility received the Triad Bronze Hospital of the Year Award for excellence in performance in all areas of operation. During his tenure at Wesley, 38 new physicians were recruited to the campus, and the facility performed at the top 10% of hospitals nationally. Patient and employee satisfaction scores exceeded national averages contributing to the facility being ranked as the top hospital in Mississippi for quality by CMS.

Seal’s prior experience includes ten years with Community Health System (CHS) as a CEO at three different facilities. During his time with CHS he was named CEO of the year twice. His career spans over 30 years of health care management in various capacities. Ron earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Management from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge and continued to obtain additional graduate studies in Business and Healthcare Administration. Ron and his wife Marcia have three grown daughters and seven grandchildren.

Texoma Medical Center is a 165-bed acute care hospital located in Denison, Texas. TMC’s Centers of Excellence include Texoma Heart Center, Reba McEntire Center for Rehabilitation, TexomaCare primary and specialty health centers, TMC Behavioral Health Center and the TMC Women & Children’s Center.
