SHERMAN, TX-The Texas Commissioner of Agriculture makes a stop in Grayson county to announce his candidacy for Lieutenant Governor.
Todd Staples stopped by Sherman for his Leadership of Texas Tour Thursday afternoon. He discussed his stance on border security, job growth and taxes. Staples said during his stops, citizens expressed their concern about government spending and property rights.
"We need leaders that will help solve the challenges that we have today without compromising our conservative values that we hold so dear as Texans. We know that low taxes and fair regulations is what creates economic opportunity," he said.
Staples also stopped by Bonham Thursday. He will be making over 50 stops across the state for his tour.
