Texoma man sentenced to 20 years

SHERMAN, Texas -- Jeffery Hammon escaped from the Bryan County Jail this past September, and was recaptured in Sherman after a high-speed chase.

Hammon was sentenced to 20 years in prison in a Grayson County Court after pleading guilty to evading arrest last week.

Hammon carjacked an elderly woman after his escape from the Bryan County Jail, and he is also facing an escape charge in Bryan County.
