THACKERVILLE, OK -- The Oklahoma Board of Education has issued fines for school districts who over spent on administration.

The Oklahoman reports Thackerville Public Schools is one of three districts being fined. The Board will withhold about $29,000 from state aid checks for the rest of the fiscal year.

The Thackerville payroll clerk says a buyout of former Superintendent David Herron's contract is what pushed costs above the legal limit.

Farris Public Schools also overspent, and was fined about $10,000 last month.
