DALLAS (AP) - More than 30,000 homes and businesses have lost electricity after storms soaked parts of Texas and a weather-related blaze left two firefighters hurt.

The National Weather Service says areas of East Texas are under a flash flood watch through Tuesday afternoon. A flash flood watch for far South Texas runs through Tuesday night.

CPS Energy reported nearly 19,000 homes and businesses without power Tuesday mainly in the San Antonio area. Austin Energy had about 1,600 customers without electricity. Dallas-based Oncor reported about 5,600 outages. CenterPoint Energy had about 4,100 Houston-area outages.

Two Fort Worth firefighters were seriously hurt Monday when they were in an attic and the floor collapsed. One man has a back injury while the other broke his arm in the house fire blamed on lightning.
