Two Lamar County men arrested for theft of livestock

LAMAR COUNTY, TEXAS-- Two men were arrested Thursday -- accused of stealing livestock from a Lamar County pasture and trying to sell them.

The Sheriff's Office tells us 20 year old Stoney Stout and 19 year old Derrick Blake were arrested for theft of livestock. The owner searched for two missing cattle and found Stout had checked them into a local livestock commission sale.

The owner was able to identify the missing animals by their ear notches and photos.

The Lamar County Sheriff's Office and the Texas Cattle Raisers Association are investigating.
