Two suspected of passing counterfeit bills in Cooke Co.

COOKE CO., TX -- The Cooke County Sheriff's office along with Gainesville and Muenster PD have arrested two people suspected of passing counterfeit bills.

Officials began their investigation after reports of fake bills being passed at local stores.

35-year-old Bryce Bennett and 30-year-old Ashley Sicking were identified as suspects and arrested on outstanding warrants.

After a search warrant was obtained, investigators found several hundred dollars worth of fake 1s, 5s, 10s, 20s, and 50 dollar bills.

Also seized were printers, ink, computers, and other material that could be used in the manufacture of counterfeit bills.

Both suspects face forgery charges.
