LAMAR COUNTY, TX-- Two men are behind bars--accused of stealing copper from a Lamar County home.
Sheriff Scott Cass says just after 1 P.M. Friday, a Powderly homeowner found two men stealing air conditioning parts and copper from the residence.
They took off in a truck and the homeowner followed them until they got stuck, jumped out and ran. Several agencies, including a Texas Ranger, joined the search.
36 year old Eric Dobbs and 37 year old Daniel Wright were seen leaving a Powderly business. Law Enforcement agencies were able to track both men heading towards Paris, and arrested them.
Both are charged with theft of material.
The investigation is ongoing.
