DENISON, TX - A major two-vehicle accident early Thursday afternoon shutdown the service road to U.S. Highway 75 and the State Highway 91 overpass in Dension.
Lieutenant Mike Eppler with the Denison police said 52-year-old Terry Driggs was driving the white Chevy truck northbound on SH-91 and 88-year-old Johnny Towell was driving the blue Dodge truck headed south on the service road of US-75. The two vehicles somehow collided at the intersection.
Eppler said the impact was so strong it caused the white truck to roll over and the blue truck to flip on its side.
Driggs was flown to the Plano Medical Center, and Towell was taken to Texoma Medical Center. Both drivers are from Cartwright, Oklahoma, and neither received life-threatening injuries.
It took crews an hour and a half to clear the accident and reopen the intersection.
