PARIS, TX -- Two house fires made for a busy weekend for the Paris Fire Department.
Just before ten Friday night, fire officials responded to a home in the 1400 block of Northeast 10th Street. They say the home was fully engulfed when they arrived and took around two hours to put out.
Fire Marshal Dale Maberry says the home was vacant with no utilities connected to the house, the home is a total loss.
Another fire broke out around six Sunday morning, at a home in the 200 block of Northwest 27th street.
Firefighters say they were able to quickly get the fire under control. No one was at the home, but firefighters were able to save a small dog. Fire officials say the home is repairable.
The cause of both fires is still under investigation.
