Van Alstyne water main break

VAN ALSTYNE, TX - About 175 thousand gallons of water were lost in a main break in Van Alstyne Tuesday.

City Manager Frank Baker says it happened just before 10 AM on Fulton Street between Preston Avenue and Main.

Crews had the line patched within the hour.

He says this particular section has needed several repairs in the past so they'll replace a 10 foot section with a valve.

The water was shut off last night at 10:30 for around 30 minutes as crews work on the water main.
