Vigil held for Texas A&M-Commerce players after tragedy

COMMERCE, TX -- Hundreds of students, staff and residents came out Wednesday night to remember two Texas A&M Commerce women basketball players who were killed in a crash Tuesday night in Paris.

Wednesday night, many came out to listen to music and share memories of Aubrey Butts and Devin Oliver. There were tears and laughs and many said, in their short lives, they touched so many people with their kind hearts and big personalities.

Head coach Jason Burton says butts and Oliver were leaders on and off the court.

Burton said, "If you're any college or university that's who you want your student-athletes to be is Aubree Butts and Devin Oliver. Those are the ideal, not only student-athletes, but ideal people. They're amazing people."

Staff says counselors are available for anyone needing to talk.
