CHOCTAW COUNTY, OK -- A wanted man in Choctaw County, who is suspected of kidnapping and raping a Fort Towson woman, is behind bars.

The Sheriff's Office says 50-year-old Richmond Parish Junior turned himself in to authorities around 5:00 Friday night.

He allegedly abducted a woman Wednesday night in Fort Towson.
Undersheriff Larry Hendrix says they responded to a rape call around 6:00 Thursday morning. He says the victim told him she was kidnapped at gunpoint, beaten with a metal flashlight and raped. The woman said she knew Parish and was able to escape when they came to a stop at railroad tracks in Valliant.

Parish is being held in the Choctaw County Jail. His bond has not been set yet.
