WAURIKA, OK - A mother was due to reunite with her daughter tonight after authorities said her father took the girl and moved to Florida.

Aubrey Goodson, 1, was due to go back to her mother Amanda Edwards after a regular weekend visit with her father Bradley Goodson.

He picked her up at 6 p.m. on Feb. 3 and was supposed to bring her back on June 5 at 6 a.m., grandmother Lupe Edwards said. But when Edwards arrived at the Jefferson County Courthouse to pick up the girl, she said Goodson was not there.

They had no idea where the girl was until this morning, when police called asking Amanda Edwards to identify a photo.

"I''m just happy that I know she's okay and they didn't show me a picture of something else," Edwards said.

Police said Goodson left Wichita Falls and showed up in West Palm Beach, Fla., looking for a place to rent and going by the name Ethan Hargrave.

According to police, he introduced his daughter as "Emily," but a woman at the house where he was living became suspicious.

"She started noticing simple things like the 17-month-old child didn't have the amount of clothes she should have, or toys," OSBI Agent Richard Goss said.

According to Goss, when Goodson slipped up and called the girl by her real name, the woman knew something wasn't right. She did a little investigating and found the girl on a missing children website.

That's when she decided she would take the girl straight to a West Palm Beach police station.

"If it hadn't been for this lady, the Llord only knows if and when we would have found her," Amanda Edwards said, before taking a charter flight to Florida to retreive her daughter.

"I'm just thrilled to death that it's over. We can sleep a while now," friend Mary Brown said.
