WILSON, OK - A fire early this morning has claimed the lives of three people in Wilson, Oklahoma, including two young children.

Carter County Sheriff Ken Grace tells us when they arrived at the home in the 800 block of Santa Fe Road around 4:30 this morning, they found a 27-year-old mother and her 7-year-old daughter and 4-year-old son dead inside.

Grace says the father was taken to the hospital, where he's being treated for smoke inhalation.

Preliminary investigation points to a portable heater as the cause of the fire.

The American Red Cross is assisting first responders on scene and the state fire marshal's office is now investigating.

We have a reporter at the scene and will have more later today on News 12.
