Incentive Package Approved For Tyson

11-15-04 – SEDCO has approved an incentive package for Tyson Fresh Meats. The package offers the meat company $3 million in incentives. If Tyson accepts the deal, the company would bring 1500 new jobs to the area.

11-14-04- Firefighters battled flames in an old, abandoned house in the 1600 block of Elm Street in Durant early Sunday evening. Neighbors called firefighters when they saw flames shooting out of the home's second story windows.

11-17-04 - A Denison man, killed in Iraq, will be laid to rest on Saturday. Mike Tatar was working in Iraq, training police officers when he was killed by friendly fire last week. The funeral is scheduled at 10 a.m. Saturday morning at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Denison.

11-12-04 - A California jury has found Scott Peterson guilty of first-degree murder in the death of his pregnant wife Laci. That charge could carry the death penalty or life without parole.
