11-15-04 – The Denison City Council is considering a bond election to raise money for road repairs. At Monday night’s meeting, the council is expected to vote on whether to call a bond election for February in order to raise money for street construction projects.
11-15-04 – The preliminary hearing for the man charged with the death of an East Central University football player will last at least 2 days. Amman Reich of Konowa is charged with first degree murder in the death of Joseph Tusan.
11-14-04- Firefighters battled flames in an old, abandoned house in the 1600 block of Elm Street in Durant early Sunday evening. Neighbors called firefighters when they saw flames shooting out of the home's second story windows.
11-13-04- Sherman police are investigating a fatal accident in Sherman Friday evening that killed a 55 year old woman when her car ran off the road and into a large ditch.
11-17-04 - A Denison man, killed in Iraq, will be laid to rest on Saturday. Mike Tatar was working in Iraq, training police officers when he was killed by friendly fire last week. The funeral is scheduled at 10 a.m. Saturday morning at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Denison.
11-12-04 - A California jury has found Scott Peterson guilty of first-degree murder in the death of his pregnant wife Laci. That charge could carry the death penalty or life without parole.
11-12-04 - Dallas-based TXU's power generating subsidiary said today that it plans to shut down three more of its older natural gas-fired power plants. This will affect the three-unit plant on Valley Lake; between Bonham and Sherman.
11-11-04 - After dozens of complaints following CBS' decision to break into programming, the network is re-airing an episode of "CSI: New York". The end of the episode was covered up by news coverage.
11-11-04 -Murray County prosecutors have charged a husband and wife with molesting four children over a period of years. The crimes are alleged to have happened between 1998 and 2002. Officials say a deprived child case led them to the couple.
11-10-04 – An Ardmore police officer is recovering from minor injuries after he was dragged during a chase late Tuesday night. An officer reached inside a suspect's Jeep for the keys. The man hit the gas and dragged the officer several feet.
