10-16-04- A Durant man held police at bay for three hours Saturday night when they responded to a domestic disturbance at a home on 2nd Street. Police say the man came at an officer with an ax and caused a three hour stand-off with authorities around 5:30 p.m.

10-16-04- For some teenage vandals in Ardmore, the punishment fit he crime Saturday afternoon. After vandalizing several homes built by Habitat for Humanity volunteers, the teenagers picked up hammers and nails and helped volunteers rebuild.
