OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Oklahoma City police say an officer shot and killed a person while investigating reports of a domestic disturbance.
Capt. Dexter Nelson says officers received a call at about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday about a domestic disturbance in northwest Oklahoma City.
Authorities say an officer confronted a person, who reportedly had a weapon. Nelson says the officer shot the person, who died at the scene.
Authorities have not yet released the name of the person killed or the officer involved in the shooting.
Nelson says the officer will be interviewed by homicide investigators and the department's internal affairs division.
