WELCH, OK. (AP) - The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says it's looking into the shooting death of an 11-year-old Craig County boy who was fatally shot while hunting with his 12-year-old friend.
Investigators say James Ridge Foster was shot to death Sunday afternoon while he was hunting with a friend in a rural area north of Welch. Investigators say James died from a single gunshot wound.
The shooting was reported to police as a hunting accident.
Authorities say an autopsy will be performed and that prosecutors will determine whether any charges should be filed.
