WEWOKA, Okla. (AP) - The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says two people were killed in a head-on collision in Seminole County.
The highway patrol says the crash happened at about 7 a.m. Wednesday on U.S. 270. A preliminary report says 34-year-old John Gilbert of Holdenville was driving east on the highway when he crashed into a truck driven by 49-year-old Ty Lowe of Holdenville.
Lowe was pronounced dead at the scene. Gilbert was flown to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City where he was pronounced dead later Wednesday morning.
A passenger in Gilbert's truck suffered minor injuries.
