OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - State Senator Andrew Rice wins the right to face Republican Senator Jim Inhofe in the U.S. Senate race in November.
Rice beat Jim Rogers in the Democratic primary with nearly 60 percent of the vote while Inhofe captured just over 84 percent of the vote against three lesser known GOP candidates.
In other congressional races, Republican Representative John Sullivan of the 1st District and Democrat Dan Boren of the 2nd District also won their primaries with ease.
In the general election, Sullivan will face businesswoman Georgianna Oliver of Tulsa and Boren will meet Republican Raymond Wickson of Okmulgee in November.
In the 5th District Congresswoman Mary Fallin will be challenged by attorney Steven Perry who defeated Bert Smith for the Democratic nomination.
