More than 950 evacuees returning to Louisiana

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - More than 950 Hurricane Gustav evacuees have left Oklahoma City for their homes in Louisiana.

Buses carrying the evacuees began leaving yesterday morning from the temporary shelter in western Oklahoma City where they had been
since Sunday.

Each evacuee was given two military ration meals and two bottles of water for the estimated 12 hour trip.

About 1,700 have stayed at the shelter and some may not be allowed to return home until the weekend because some Louisiana parishes haven't been cleared for people to re-enter.
