Suspects in turnout shooting nabbed in Texas

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - A man and a woman wanted in the shooting and carjacking of a Texas man at a scenic turnout along Interstate 35 in Oklahoma are under arrest.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says 48-year-old Steven Scott Redmond was nabbed early Thursday in Del Rio, Texas. His suspected accomplice, 43-year-old Mary Smith, turned herself in to authorities in Montgomery County, Texas, late Wednesday.

Oklahoma arrest warrants for both were issued on counts of robbery, assault with a dangerous weapon with intent to kill and auto theft.

Kevin Grimes was shot in the neck during an Aug. 27 robbery south of Pauls Valley. He was released from the hospital last week.
