OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The first two groups of soldiers with the Oklahoma National Guard's 45th Infantry Brigade have returned home.
About 200 soldiers arrived Sunday at Will Rogers Air National Guard Base and were taken to a welcome home ceremony at Southern Nazarene University in Bethany.
The first group landed Sunday morning and the second about 6 p.m.
The soldiers are part of about 2,600 troops with the 45th who were mobilized about a year ago and spent about nine months in Iraq.
More soldiers will be coming home on several flights throughout the week including three arrivals that are expected Monday.
