State representative says Obama e-mail "racist"

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - A Democratic black state representative is demanding disciplinary action against a state worker for an e-mail about Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama that he says is
racist.

Rep. Mike Shelton of Oklahoma City says Republican Rep. Doug Cox's legislative assistant distributed the e-mail about Obama on Wednesday. Shelton is demanding a public apology over the e-mail which he says is racist, offensive and inappropriate.

The e-mail is in the form of a knock-knock joke. It reads: "Knock knock. Who's there? Eyes. Eyes who?"

It then contains an image of Obama's face and says: "Eyes yo new Prezident."

Cox says he hasn't seen the e-mail and knew nothing about its distribution. But Cox says Shelton has his apologies for the content.
