Worker attacked by tiger at animal sanctuary

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. (AP) - Wagoner County authorities say a handler at a wild animal sanctuary near Broken Arrow has been attacked by a tiger.

A sheriff's deputy says Peter Getz was bitten in the upper torso and the neck area Wednesday morning and taken to a Tulsa hospital where he's in critical condition.

The attack occurred at Safari's Animal Sanctuary east of Broken Arrow.
