GROVE, Okla. (AP) - A court hearing in Delaware County for a Grove man accused of impregnating a foster child placed in his care has been delayed.
Timothy Joe Mountford is charged with felony second-degree rape and child sexual abuse of a 14-year-old placed in his home by the Department of Human Services.
The 50-year-old Mountford, who is related to the girl, appeared in court Monday for a scheduled hearing, which was postponed until March 6.
Prosecutors asked for a continuance, saying a witness was medically unable to testify.
Special Judge Alicia Littlefield says if the state is not ready to proceed in March, the case will be dismissed.
Mountford is free on $150,000 bail. The victim is now in another foster home.
