Oklahoma state revenue down

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - State financial officials say Oklahoma lawmakers will have $309.6 million less to spend next year than they did this year.

State Treasurer Scott Meacham is releasing details of the proposed state budget for the upcoming fiscal year.

The total proposed expenditure authority for the fiscal year that begins July 1 is $6.8 billion. That is 4.4 percent less than the $7.1 billion budget for the fiscal year that began last July.

The budget reflects decreases in individual income tax collections and gross production taxes on oil and natural gas.
