SALLISAW, Okla. (AP) - A former Marble City school teacher has waived her right to a preliminary hearing on charges of having sex
with a 13-year-old student.
Twenty-seven-year-old Stephanie Harris of Sallisaw is charged in Sequoyah County District Court with first-degree rape and three
counts of soliciting sexual conduct.
Court documents say Harris was an 8th grade computer teacher when she sent text messages in June asking the teenage boy if he wanted to have sex with her.
The documents also say Harris used her cell phone to send the teenager nude photographs of herself and explicit text messages.
Harris is free on $50,000 bond.
