SKIATOOK, Okla. (AP) - There were no injuries when a small plane carrying four people crashed while landing at Skiatook Municipal Airport after the pilot failed to lower the landing gear.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 55-year-old Kevin Hager of Skiatook apparently failed to raise the gear on takeoff.
Investigators say as he was preparing to land about 3:45 p.m. Monday he inadvertently raised the wheels - thinking that he was lowering them.
The plane skidded on its belly before coming to a stop on the runway.
