GRACEMONT, Okla. (AP) - Former Gracemont Police Chief Garri McClure has been sentenced to three years in prison for making lewd and indecent proposals to a 15-year-old girl.
Gracemont was sentenced Friday after admitting to visiting and sending hundreds of explicit text messages to the girl in hopes of beginning a sexual relationship.
He was sentenced to 10 years in the state penitentiary with all but the first three years suspended.
McClure was fired after charges were filed against him.
Gracemont is about 70 miles southwest of Oklahoma City.
