TULSA, Okla. (AP) - A pilot instructor and a student survived with no serious injuries after the small plane they were flying crashed and burned.
Fire Capt. Michael Baker says the plane crashed and burst into flames between runways at Jones Riverside Airport near Jenks about 11:45 a.m. Monday.
He says both people on board were checked by paramedics at the scene and neither was hospitalized.
No names have been released and Baker says it wasn't immediately clear who was piloting the plane at the time of the crash.
Baker says it appears the plane was landing and that wind may have been a factor in the crash, but those issues are still under investigation.
