FAIRLAND, Okla. (AP) - Ottawa County authorities say a man was shot and killed in an apparent break-in at his home in a rural area outside of Fairland in far northeast Oklahoma.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says deputies called about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday found the body of Fairland businessman Sam Sanders.
Sanders' wife was found tied to a chair and beaten. Two people identified as grandchildren were also in the home but were not injured.
The suspects were reportedly wearing camouflage clothing.
It's at least the second home invasion in Ottawa County in less than a week.
On Thursday, two men entered a residence of an attorney in rural Miami where they held a woman and her grandchildren hostage during a robbery.
