OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Governor Brad Henry is preparing to sign a
bill aimed at helping authorities when they are called to find missing senior citizens.
The bill sets up a "Silver Alert" program.
It is patterned after the Amber Alert program that helps locate missing children.
Like Amber, the Silver Alert will use television, radio and other mediums of communications to alert the public of a missing senior.
Henry planned to sign the bill at a Thursday afternoon news conference.
