NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - A charge of violating a restraining order against University of Oklahoma signee Justin Chaisson has been dropped.
Chaisson was in court in Las Vegas last week to face the charge but it was dismissed when the plaintiff - his ex-girlfriend - failed to show up.
He still faces criminal charges for allegedly attacking the 17-year-old ex-girlfriend by forcing her into his car and threatening to kill her with a screwdriver.
The charges include felony counts of assault with a deadly weapon, false imprisonment and coercion. He also faces misdemeanor counts of false imprisonment and battery.
