PRYOR, Okla. (AP) - A Locust Grove man has been charged in Mayes
County with the sexual assault of an 81-year-old woman.
Hank Daniel Montgomery was charged Monday with first-degree rape
by instrumentation, forcible sodomy and robbery by fear in connection with the alleged assault on May 5.
Mayes County deputies say Montgomery entered the woman's home by
telling her his vehicle broke down and he needed to use her phone.
They say he then showed the woman a knife and sexually assaulted
her before escaping into into nearby woods.
Montgomery was arrested Friday while walking along a highway in
Court records do not indicate of Montgomery has retained an attorney.
Records show at the time of the attack, Montgomery was out on bond on a separate first-degree rape charge.
