Former Ada minister sentenced on molestation charges

ADA, Okla. (AP) - A former Ada minister has been sentenced to 13 years in prison for molesting two young boys.

A Pontotoc County district judge sentenced the Rev. Kenneth Wayne Huneycutt on Wednesday. The 61-year-old Huneycutt pleaded guilty in May to three counts of lewd molestation and no contest to one count of lewd molestation.

Huneycutt was pastor of New Hope Baptist Church when two children under age 12 told authorities he had touched them inappropriately and made them touch him.

It's a crime that this guy got only 13 years, what's worse is in the early 90's the man who molested my sister, went to "counseling" for a few months and ended up re-offending on her but this time raped her (She was molested from 2-11)all HE got is 13 years. Now he is walking OUR streets! When are we going to get tougher laws? We now know no amount of "counseling" is going to work for these pervs! I say they all need life sentences so our kids can feel a little safer! statistically when a molester is caught they have already offended many times, I wonder how many other victims he has done this to!?!?

Normally, I dont say things like this. Im all about giving people a chance. But there are some people that dont deserve chances. Like child molesters. I say lets do what the bible would have done and stone him. I hope he has a grand ole time in prison

I agree WB something is wrong with this picture.. This so called minister who is supposed to be pilar of the community and speaks the word of GOD. What is the justice system thinking. He should be ashamed of hisself preaching the word of of the lord and then does and unspeakable act to a child. He should have gotten more than 100 yrs. I think he should go straight to hell.

WORRY NOT. For this scum of a human 13 years is plenty long. Because he will not survive where he is going. Somebody will put a crudely built knife in his back.
