OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - A preacher at a Church of Nazarene congregation in Sayre has entered a guilty plea to a charge of embezzlement, after his thefts forced the church to shut down.
Tim Zeman is to be sentenced Aug. 18.
He was accused of stealing at least $100,000 from the Church of the Nazarene's building fund and also of obtaining money by taking out a mortgage on the church parsonage.
The church was financially devastated by the thefts, and members
said they had no choice but to close down.
