OKMULGEE, Okla. (AP) - A 9-year-old girl has died of injuries suffered when she was hit by a pickup truck in Okmulgee and police are still looking for the truck's driver.
Police say Piper Haney died Thursday afternoon at a Tulsa hospital where she was taken following the accident last Thursday.
Investigators say the girl was hit while riding her bicycle with another girl and the driver of the truck left the scene.
Police Chief Joe Prentice says the truck is believed to be a mid-1980s to mid-1990s Nissan pickup.
