Plane Crash

TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Five people are dead following the crash of a small aircraft in Tulsa.

The crash occurred Saturday morning in Chandler Park. Authorities have initially identified the victims as two adult males, one adult female and two juvenile females. Their names were not immediately released, but authorities say all were from Tulsa.

Lt. George Brown of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the six-passenger Piper aircraft left Jones Riverside Airport at 10:37 a.m., headed for Dallas.

Brown says the plane apparently struck a guide wire of a tower that wasn't visible because of fog. It crashed near a baseball field in the park just before 11 a.m.

Brown says Federal Aviation Administration investigators are headed to the scene and the park is expected to be closed all weekend.
