NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Cleveland County authorities are searching for an inmate who apparently walked out of the jail with a group of inmates who were being released.
Sheriff Joe Lester says Timothy Michael DeClark was being processed Tuesday when he walked out of the jail about 6 p.m. with inmates who had posted bond and were being released.
DeClark was being held for probation violations, receiving stolen property, forgery and possession of a firearm following a prior conviction.
Lester says a criminal investigation into the escape is under way as well as an internal evaluation into how DeClark was able to walk out of the jail.
