Man arrested in Midwest City killing

MIDWEST CITY, Okla. (AP) - Authorities have arrested a man on a first-degree murder complaint after his girlfriend was found dead in a Midwest City apartment.
Two newspaper carriers alerted police officers early Monday that a half-dressed man with blood on him was walking around the Willow Creek Apartments. When officers arrived around 5:30 a.m., they found 28-year-old Eric Ray Knox.
Officers found the body of 25-year-old Stacey Beesley in Knox's
apartment.
Police say they received a call that a woman was being hurt at the complex around 3 a.m., but they found nothing because they were directed to the wrong unit.
It wasn't known if Knox has obtained an attorney.
